New to Pour-Over Coffee?

Pour-over lets you make coffee just how you like it, without a bulky machine. Just add ground coffee and hot water. Filtrare brews and serves in one ceramic piece.

From ground coffee to your favourite mug.

1. Add filter + ground coffee
Place a paper filter in the brewer and rinse it. Discard the rinse water, then add your ground coffee.
2. Slowly pour hot water
Start with a little water to wet the grounds. Pause briefly, then continue pouring slowly.
3. Remove the filter
Once the coffee has finished dripping, lift out the filter and used grounds.
4. Pour your cup
Pour straight from your Filtrare coffee maker into your mug. No separate carafe needed.

A few things to know.

Do I need to know how to make pour-over?

No experience is needed to get started. A little practice helps you find your favorite cup. Follow our brewing guide for coffee and water amounts, pouring and timing.

What else do I need?

Ground coffee, hot water from a kettle (gooseneck is preferred, but not necessary) and a compatible filter. A scale is helpful for measuring consistent amounts. A grinder for whole coffee beans.

Is this an electric coffee maker?

No. You pour the hot water by hand. Filtrare has no plug or electronic parts; it is a ceramic brewer and serving carafe in one.

Which purchases qualify?

A Scandinavian or Victorian coffee maker with its matching lid, or a pour-over set. Brewers without lids do not qualify. This offer is for U.S. orders only.

Do sets receive an extra mug?

Yes. Your set includes the coffee maker, matching lid and two mugs. During this offer, receive one additional free mug — three mugs in total.

What filters do I use?

We recommend Filtrare paper filters that pair best. Other paper filters or reusable filters that say Chemex-compatible may also work.
